Dagmawi Getachew, known as Dag, is a business litigation attorney at Bush & Bush Law Group, bringing more than eight years of intensive trial and litigation experience to the firm's commercial and catastrophic-injury practice. Over the course of his career, he has recovered in excess of $30 million, concentrating on high-stakes commercial and catastrophic cases arising from commercial trucking, premises liability, and medical malpractice.
Dag has built his career in the trenches of catastrophic-injury and commercial litigation, commanding every phase of a case, from liability and coverage investigation, through aggressive discovery and depositions, to mediation, trial, and appeal. He develops his cases methodically and tries them with conviction, building the kind of trial-ready record that forces high-exposure matters to favorable resolution, whether across the negotiating table or in front of a jury.
A graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law, Dag is admitted to practice before all Texas state courts, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Born in Ethiopia and raised in Wylie, Texas, he is fluent in Amharic and remains deeply engaged with the Dallas-Fort Worth Ethiopian community.
