Rebecca A. Rayner is an experienced litigator licensed to practice law in Ohio and South Carolina. With more than a decade of legal experience, Rebecca has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in complex civil matters and has handled cases from initial investigation through settlement, mediation, and jury trial.
Rebecca’s practice has included extensive work in personal injury, insurance defense, trucking litigation, premises liability, workers’ compensation, employment litigation, construction matters, and retail and hospitality claims. Her broad background gives her a valuable perspective when representing injured clients, including an understanding of how insurance companies and defense counsel investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and litigate claims.
Throughout her career, Rebecca has handled all phases of litigation, including pre-suit investigations, pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, oral arguments, mediations, settlement negotiations, and jury trials. Her personal injury experience includes motor vehicle collisions, commercial trucking and 18-wheeler accidents, premises liability claims, and other serious injury matters.
Rebecca has also held significant leadership positions during her career, including Partner, Of Counsel, and Director of a Commercial Litigation Division. In addition to managing her own caseload, she has recruited, trained, developed, and supervised attorneys and legal support professionals.
As the spouse of a military service member, Rebecca’s family has relocated throughout her career, providing her the opportunity to practice in multiple jurisdictions and work with law firms serving clients across different states. Those experiences have contributed to the versatility and adaptability she brings to her practice today.
Rebecca earned her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School, where she concentrated in Alternative Dispute Resolution, earned the CALI Award in Employment Discrimination, was named to the Order of the Curia, and received a merit scholarship. She also holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from Ashford University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a specialization in Public Relations from Wright State University.
Beyond her legal practice, Rebecca has remained active in her community and in the development of future attorneys. She has coached youth basketball and soccer and has assisted Capital University Law School with its Mock Trial program and deposition courses.
Rebecca is admitted to practice in Ohio and South Carolina, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
